Moving house recently and we have been reminded how some companies can do so well in some things but really just miss the point in others. For a couple of years, we have been using Pipex as our broadband provider. There was no installation fee, no join up fee and we could use an ADSL modem that was given us free by a friend. We were connected ahead of schedule. Then they upgraded our speed from 512K to 2M free of charge and continued to provide an uncapped, unmetered service. Beuno! And then we moved ... For some reason, Pipex were unable to move our account to the new address, even though we had the phone number moved. I had to cancel the account and start a new one. Anyone want to write in and explain just why that is? In any case, we are sticking with Pipex for the moment but we are keeping tabs on a number of other providers whom we may well switch to if the high level of customer service that they had provided appears to have wondered off.
